Stops
Villages and passes in riding order, with the altitudes we record for each day. A route overview rather than a GPS trace: the line follows roads and tracks between the stops, so where a day crosses a pass on mule paths the drawn line takes the nearest rideable way round and will read longer than the distance we quote. Trails between stops vary with conditions and with your group.
This 2-day Atlas Berber valley e-bike tour covers two completely different landscapes in 48 hours. Day one is the green High Atlas. The Azzaden valley, walnut terraces, villages, running water. Day two is the Agafay, the stone desert south of Marrakech that looks like the Sahara without the eight-hour drive.
The riding is easy throughout: dirt roads and quiet tarmac rather than technical trail, with electric assist for the climbs. It suits people who want the mountains and the desert but only have a weekend, and it works well for mixed groups where not everybody is a cyclist.
One night in a guesthouse in Ouirgane village, all meals included, support vehicle throughout.
Day 1
Marrakech → Imlil → Azzaden Valley → Ouirgane
Breakfast at your hotel, then a transfer to the Imlil valley. The e-bikes take you up through the Azzaden valley on dirt roads, past villages built into the terraces and alongside the irrigation channels that make this valley green. The route crosses into the Ouirgane national park and finishes at Tinzert village. Easy riding all day, with the mountains getting bigger behind you.
Day 2
Ouirgane → Tizi Ouadou → Lalla Takerkoust → Agafay → Marrakech
A scenic road with long Atlas views takes you north out of Ouirgane. We stop at Tizi Ouadou for mint tea and to talk with the people who run the roadside café. This is the kind of stop that does not appear on an itinerary but ends up in your photos. Lunch is in the fields. Then the landscape changes completely: past the Lalla Takerkoust lake and out into the Agafay, a rolling stone desert where the ground turns grey and the mountains sit on the horizon. Transfer back to Marrakech from there.
This one runs all year. Multi-day trips are private departures on the dates you choose — there is no fixed calendar to fit around and no strangers added to make up numbers.

It is a stone desert — hammada rather than sand dunes. Grey-brown rolling hills with almost nothing growing on them, and the Atlas range on the skyline. It is not the Sahara, and we will not pretend it is, but it is genuinely striking and it is an hour from Marrakech rather than eight.
Yes. Some people prefer to finish high rather than low. Tell us when you enquire and we will flip the route.
In July and August it is genuinely hot — over 40°C. We start earlier in summer and shorten the desert section. Between October and May it is comfortable.
