Every bike tour from Marrakech we run starts with a pickup at your riad and ends with a drop-off at the door. The High Atlas begins an hour south of the city, so you can be on singletrack at 2,300m by mid-morning and back in the medina for dinner.

Imlil, the village we use as a trailhead, is 65km from Marrakech — about an hour and a half by road, and the last half of it is a proper mountain road climbing through Asni. You leave the plain, cross into the foothills, and the range simply appears.
That proximity is the reason this works as a day trip at all. In most mountain ranges an hour of driving gets you to the outskirts. Here it puts you at 1,740m at the foot of North Africa’s highest peak.
Our day tours run 9am to roughly 5pm, door to door. That leaves your evening in Marrakech intact, which matters if you have one or two nights in the city and do not want to lose one to logistics.
The standard day climbs from Imlil to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass, traverses the Imenane valley through a string of villages, stops for lunch with a family in Ikkiss, then descends the Asni valley. It is a genuine mountain day, not a token loop near a car park.
If the climb worries you, take the e-bike version or use the support vehicle for the ascent and ride the whole descent. Both are completely normal.
Multi-day tours start and finish in the city, so you can book your riad for the whole stay and leave luggage there while you ride. We collect you on the first morning and return you on the last afternoon.
The one thing to plan around: do not book a departing flight before about 9pm on your final day. Mountain roads and bike washing take the time they take, and we would rather not rush the last descent.
Yes — any hotel or riad in the city, including Gueliz and the Palmeraie. If your riad is deep in the medina where a vehicle cannot reach, we meet you at the nearest square and tell you exactly where when you book.
Around 5pm for the standard day tours. Traffic coming into the city in the late afternoon can add half an hour, so we plan for that rather than promising a time we cannot keep.
It is enough to ride a real mountain pass, cross a valley and eat in a Berber village, which is more than most visitors manage. What a day cannot give you is the evening in the mountains — for that you need at least the 2-day trip.
Cycling shorts, a breathable top, sunglasses, sun cream and a water bottle. Stiff-soled shoes help. We bring the bike, the helmet, the tools and the food.
