Villages and passes in riding order, with the altitudes we record for each day. A route overview rather than a GPS trace: the line follows roads and tracks between the stops, so where a day crosses a pass on mule paths the drawn line takes the nearest rideable way round and will read longer than the distance we quote. Trails between stops vary with conditions and with your group.
Overview
This 6-day e-bike tour in the Atlas Mountains solves the problem most groups have: people ride at different speeds. On e-MTBs, the strongest rider and the least experienced one arrive at lunch together, and everybody enjoys the day.
The route works through the classic High Atlas valleys — Imlil, Imenane, Azzaden, Ouirgane and the Kik Plateau — on dirt roads and easy trails rather than technical singletrack. You cover ground a normal bike would take twice as long over, which means you reach villages most visitors never see.
We run Bosch-powered e-MTBs with 625Wh batteries and carry spare batteries in the support vehicle. Range is never what ends your day.
Five Atlas valleys in six days, at a pace everyone can hold
Bosch e-MTBs with spare batteries in the vehicle
The Kik Plateau, 20km of high, open riding
Ideal for couples and friends of very different fitness levels
Day by day

Day 1
Arrive in Marrakech
Airport → Marrakech medina
Airport pickup and transfer to your riad. We fit the e-bikes, run through how the assistance modes work and what battery management looks like in the mountains, then eat together in the medina.

Day 2
Imlil and the Imenane valley
Marrakech → Imlil → Imenane Valley
Transfer to Imlil and your first proper day on the e-bike. The climb to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass at 2,300m is where most people understand the point of an e-MTB. It is a serious climb that becomes genuinely enjoyable. Then a long traverse into the Imenane valley through terraced villages.

Day 3
Into the Azzaden valley
Imenane Valley → Azzaden Valley
Over a col and down into the Azzaden, riding beside the river through walnut and cherry terraces. This is one of the greenest valleys in the range and the trail follows the water for most of the afternoon. The gîte sits at 1,800m with Toubkal visible from the terrace.

Day 4
Azzaden to Ouirgane
Azzaden Valley → Ouirgane
A descent-heavy day out of the high valley into the red-earth country around Ouirgane. We stop at the salt workings and ride through the national park on quiet dirt roads. Afternoon at the guesthouse. There is a pool, and after three days you will use it.

Day 5
The Kik Plateau
Ouirgane → Kik Plateau → Asni
The best day of the trip. A steady climb onto the Kik Plateau puts you on a high, open ribbon of track with the full Atlas range on one side and the plain on the other. It runs for over 20km with almost no interruption, and on an e-bike you can hold a proper pace the whole way.

Questions about this tour
Do the batteries last a full day in the mountains?
A 625Wh battery covers a normal day on our routes in eco and tour modes, including the climbs. We also carry fully charged spares in the support vehicle and swap them at lunch on the longer days, so running out is not something you need to think about.
Can a strong cyclist and a nervous one do this tour together?
That is exactly what this trip is for. The assistance levels close the gap almost entirely. A fit rider in eco mode and a less experienced one in turbo will arrive at the same time. It is the most common reason people book it.
Is this technical riding?
No. It is dirt roads, wide mule tracks and easy trail. If you want technical singletrack on an e-bike, ask about the e-MTB versions of our MTB routes instead.
How heavy are the e-bikes to handle?
Around 23–25kg. You feel it when lifting the bike, but not while riding. If you are worried about handling the weight on descents, tell your guide on day one and they will set your suspension and pick lines accordingly.
